Islamic Studies Textbook and Violence

Almost every Islamic studies textbook in Saudi schools –and I think in any other Muslim countries as well- taught about the universality of Islam and that it is the only true religion. This doctrine is not the creation of ulema, but it is derived directly from Quran that says: “And who seek as religion other than Islam it will not be accepted from him, and he will be a loser in the Hereafter.” (Sura 3:85)

i think it is unfair essay and research. i believe all religion state that “my religion the true one”. despite of that claimed, the important to be highlighted is tolerance to another religion.
in islam, there are also doctrine to tolerance of other religion, you are not emphasize that things.
doctrine that say islam is the true one is needed to strengthen their islamic ideology. who else can be depended to islam ideology but moslem?
تحتوي هذه المقالة على مغالطات عدة حول مناهج التربية الإسلامية ودورها في غرس الكراهية والحقد على غير المسلمين وهي غير منصفة وغير دقيقة في نقل الحقائق ومن ذلك أن الإسلام يصف نفسه انه هو الدين الحق كما في قوله تعالى ” إن الدين عند الله الإسلام ” ولكنه لم يجبر أو يحمل غير المسلمين على الدخول فيه بالقوة كما في قوله تعالى ” لا إكراه في الدين ” وكما في قوله تعالى أفأنت تكره الناس حتى يكونوا مسلمين ” وعليه فإن الإسلام يفرق بين غير المسلم المسالم الذي لا يحارب المسلمين وبين غير المسلم الذي يعلن حربه وعداوته للمسلمين فهو يعتبر العدو الذي يحارب المسلمين أما المسالمين أو المعاهدين فلا يعتبرهم أعداء
أما بالنسبة لموضوع ميراث المرأة وأنها تأخذ نصف حصة الرجل فهذا غير دقيق إذ أن المرأة في الإسلام لها حصص مختلفة عند تقسيم الميراث حسب موقعها الاجتماعي ففي بعض الحالات تأخذ أكثر من الرجل وفي بعض الحالات تأخذ مثل الرجل وفي حالة البنت تأخذ نصف حصة الأبن لاعتبارات مختلفة ليست مبنية على أساس الجنس وتفصيل هذا موجود في الكتب المختصة
Thank you for the explanatory contents. Most Arabic classes presented at Islamic Centers will be targeted toward Islamic study, such as Qur’an memorization, interpreting Qur’an verses and traditions prayers.
