Prime Minister Gillard and the Politics of Faith
By Luthfi Assyaukanie
Religion as such is good. The highest ethical formulations can be found in religious teachings. Religion will remain good as long as it stays in the ethical domain. What makes religion often look bad is its determination to enter the unholy domain such as politics. History has given us a lot of lessons. The politicization of religion is not only bad for politics, but it is also bad for religion.

Islam/ the religion is not influenced by the people and others. it can stand up with its principle to save the people not unsafe.
I fully agree with the article by Luthfie Assyaukanie above. Nowadays all of European countries clearly make a segregation between religion and political domain, in such a way that religion may not enter the political domain, since politics is considered full of unholy matters.
I believe that, only by strict segregation between religion and politics, our country will be able to develop well. So, When there is interference by religion in the political matters, one thing for sure, an unethical conduct will be there to emerge.
An unethical conduct is one big element of danger for this country to become developed. The outbreak of corruption and other abuse of power, is due to the absence of ethical conduct in this country.
Dear Lufti,
The True Religion must be compatible for all purposes, including politics or governing countries.
Islam, so far, is the ONLY TRUE religion for behaving humans in all aspects. Not a single verse is in conflict with established science.
JIL is ‘good’ in rhetorical debates by using histories, philosophy and other non exact knowledges. Any Truths CAN’T be judged by using such relative ‘tools’, there must be Established Scientific Postulates to judge what’s so called Truths…Islam is ‘quality passed’ scientifically.
